Yesterday was such an eventful day for me. Ok, so my friend, (Renee), and I originally planned to just grab some lunch and beach it up. Before she goes off to Vietnam to teach English for the summer. It was either between Oceanside or Carlsbad. None of us couldn’t decide, so i flipped my phone! And i’m glad it landed on Oceanside because when we got there, we ran into a group of our good buddies! Talk about fate! It was so cold that day we all decided to go to my friend’s community pool/jacuzzi and chilled there till 10pm! Talking, eating, and just enjoying each others company. It just makes me think, this all happened because of a flip of the phone. :]
Today is just one of those days where I wish I had a time machine
I really don’t want to write this just because its kinda hard and embarrassing, but whatever. Well, if you guys have been keeping up with my life, you guys know that i got the job at tillys. Today was the first orientation at 7am. I was so excited that I woke up at 8:25am. Gahhh! I really rushed over there and called to see if I can still make it, but she said she’ll have to reschedule me next SUNDAY. I’m happy that she’s giving me a second chance, but damn she put me on a guilt trip. She said something like, “i was really excited to have you on the team and yeah…” (kinda hurt me inside) and I told her it was really out of character and I came 15min’s early to the last two interviews and today was just not my day. Well, it is what it is and I’ll just keep my chin up and hopefully win them over next time.
Sometimes, I miss being in a relationship. Don’t get me wrong, I love the single life. You don’t have to worry about anybody but yourself. That’s cool and all, but its hard when I see my friends getting into relationships and they get to do all the sweet things couples do. Hugging, kissing, laughing, and whispering sweet nothings. lol. To be honest, I dreamt of cuddling with a girl-friend of mine. And I woke up just to realize it was all a dream :[
What goes on in the second interview? Is it a group one? I recently just had the first interview and they scheduled me for Monday? Can u help me out a bit please?
I was like you anon. like,”what questions will they ask?”, however the questions are similar to the first interview. But honestly, if you just be yourself and have a good genuine conversation that’s all you need. Laugh, have fun, tease them…like he/she is your best friend.
…and if you already got your second interview then I’m pretty sure they’ll hire you. They need people to work during the summer. just put your best foot forward :]
When you answer this ask, please leave it up :3 Thank youuu.
When you did the engagement party shoot, did you use an external flash? Also, which lens did you use? And settings?
And what is so good about lomography photography? Don't you have to develop the film?
Yeah I used an external flash with a trigger and a receiver. I also had the flash shooting into an umbrella for that diffused light. As for settings, just 100iso 1/20 f/5.0 But you gotta play with flash yourself. its not going to be the same for each camera. And i used a 50mm 1.4 but the picture with kristen and i was shot with just the kit lens.
And lomography is just awesome! i love the vintage look film gives off. Idk if you saw my first roll of film, but here’s a link. (flickr) And i just go to walmart and they develop the roll for me. cost me aroud 16 bucks for a CD and Prints.
I met this model from a little site called modelmayhem. Most of the models have rates, but I was so lucky to find a model that would do shoots for free! And the best part is…no complaining! jk But yeah, in all seriousness I was just bored today.
So I didn’t get a chance to update you guys yesterday. We’ll since i finally got my camera back from basil. I was able to take pics again yeah! I missed my camera. Anyway, yesterday my family and I went to the beach to walk along the shore and back. It was definitely the best way to wake up your body. After that, we ate at teri’s.
Here’s a picture of us at the beach…We’re not your average family.
When we got back, I got ready for the day because I had plans to go to the movie with a small group of friends and my sister. We watched Hangover 2 and it was facking hilarious! Go watch it if you haven’t. I seriously haven’t laughed like that in a long time.
The night was still young so we went bowling/pool. Irene came in 1st, I came in 2nd, brian came in 3rd and trammie came in 4th. And I hate to say this but the girls beat the guys at pool. Wahhhh!
Oh and today My family and I spent the whole day at a car dealership and bought two sweet cars. (we’re not rich…we gotta pay 456ish a month)
Why is it that your sister always wears a hat? I'm very curious and I want to know. But I'd understand if it was something personal.
She has Alopecia, which means loss of hair from the head or body. In her case, its her head. 25% of her head is covered with hair and the rest is bald. But honestly she doesn’t even need hair to be beautiful.
First off, I knew we didn’t have to dress too business-y. My friend, Brian, and I had our interview today at 3pm. This guy showed up to my house with a full on suit and slacks. But he said, “its better to be over dressed than to be under dressed.” All I had was my new dark wash jeans and this blue buttoned up shirt with a tie and vest. Under dressed I was…so i thought.
We got there 15mins early just to impress the manager. The manager called all four of us in the back. It was a small group made up of two girls and two guys. At this point, I was already getting nervous like how I get nervous when I’m about to perform on stage for a large audience. This was my first interview EVER and I didn’t know what to expect. As the interview progressed I was more relaxed and answered the questions with ease.
In the beginning they asked simple questions like name, something about you (i beatboxed teehee), favorite super hero(nightcrawler). After that, we got into more in depth questions like Personal, Situational, and Loss Prevention questions. At the end, we had to pick out an outfit for a girl. This was my favorite part of the interview because i know what i like and i like to think i have good taste. Now we’re just waiting for callbacks. Fingers crossed…eyes crossed
